Structurally, camping tents mainly come in three types: triangular (also called A-frame), dome-shaped (also called yurt), and house-shaped (also called family). They are further categorized by structure: single-layer, double-layer, and composite. Size-wise, they are available for two, three, and more. Triangular camping tents are mostly double-layered, more complex to set up, but offer better wind resistance, warmth, and rain protection, making them suitable for mountaineering and adventure. Dome-shaped camping tents are easy to set up, carry, and are lightweight, making them suitable for general leisure travel.
Category-wise, camping tents mainly include: frame-type camping tents (also called ordinary tourist tents) and military inflatable tourist tents (inflatable frame camping tents). Compared to regular frame tents, military inflatable tents are lighter, quicker to set up, more stable, have stronger wind shearing capabilities, do not trap rainwater, and are smaller and easier to carry when folded. They also feature high strength, good stability, small folding size, and convenient transportation.
